Pranam. As part of the discussions on the new system and orgranization of JainList a good suggestion was made by Shri Premchand Gada. The idea is to form an Advisory team in addition to the moderators. Thus there will be the Moderators team for each segment as planned and additionally an advisory team now. The advisory team will consist of senior personalities and scholars who can chip in when necessary. They will not be expected to contribute regularly but can bring their expertise to the discussions when, for example, conversations develop into deadlocks. Shri Premchand Gada has kindly volunteered to be included in the Advisory Team. His Bhavna of service to Jainism is Anumodniya. Jai Jinendra. Indeed, Jain diamond money has supported IVU for many years. http://www.ivu.org Also, I know of an Indonesian Vegetarian Society and there is a strong Jain presence in Indonesia, which otherwise is a largely Muslim nation. In their depressed economy the exchange rate may be quite advantageous for you. http://www.i-v-s.org/ A key player in "Indonesian Vegetarian Society" seems to be a young woman named Karuna Wang, or she may be merely a publicist for IVS. Heres what I found from a WEB SEARCH on Vegetarian+Thailand http://www.v-media.co.th/taiyo/mangsawirat.html +++++ Dinesh S Parakh +++++ An inquiry about Jains in Bangladesh First of all, let me thank you for your work on the JainNet site-its truly an impressive effort and very comprehensive. I am looking for any Jain contact (including Samaj, Sthanak, Mandir, etc) in Bangladesh, particularly in Dhaka. Can you help me locate this information? I have searched the net extensively but cannot find anything. We are moving to Dhaka on a posting with the United Nations soon and would very much like to locate members of the community. If you know of any Marwari contacts in Dhaka (samaj, association, etc.) that would also be very helpful. +++++ Rajesh Shah +++++ Harsh Benara's query: PramanSagarji's book Jain Tatva Vidya Unfortunately, I am unable to help at present as we are currently working to clear a backlog of donated shastras.
