Pranam. In this issue lets talk about Honouring and Recognition of Knowledgeable members of JainList. Over the years we have seen many members who participate in discussions on JainList to share their knowledge with other members and enrich themselves. The discussions may be for learning, sharing or both. But by their knowledge and insight they enrich the talk. One characteristic is that they are regular participants. Another is that they have their basics right and are well-versed in the fundamentals of Jainism. It has been seen that generally their contributions are well researched and facts checked. Also, their knowledge-based humility encourages acceptance of mistakes and difference of beliefs in sects. These traits ensure that whatever they say is largely not their personal opinion and has roots in Jain teachings. It is very important that these members be publicly recognized and honoured for their contributions. It becomes imperative to do so cause it becomes our anumodna of their acts and behaviour. Also that they serve as examples for emulation by others. Compared to readring, it requires more efforts to write something and much more to write something knowledgeable and write it well. We should all be appreciative of such members. One of the reasons behind starting "Post-of-the-Week" in Gazette was to recognize these contributors. But we need more ways to honour these individuals for their efforts. I invite all the members of JainList and readers of JainNet Gazette to send their ideas on how we can do so. Jai Jinendra.
