Pranam. Continuing our talk about Honouring and Recognition of Knowledgeable members of JainList from last time. Let us explore the possible ways by which we can do so. There is already "Post-of-the-Week" selection happening, which recognizes the best post and thus also its author. We can start "Post-of-the-Month" which is chosen from these weekly best posts. Authors who are awarded with "Post-of-the-Month" will be put on the JainList homepage. There will be a separate section highlighting last month's author and his/her post with archives of all best monthly posts. Another way is by extending the above and constituting the "Member-of-the-Year" award. It is chosen from nominee authors whose posts are selected as "Post-of-the-Month". We can also honour knowledgeable members by conferring with the title of "JainList Ratna" based on their merit. These members can then include "JainList Ratna" as part of their mail signature. They will be listed on the JainList homepage with a brief bio. Shri Rajesh Kamdar has made a good suggestion. He has proposed the idea of distinctively honouring the knowledgeable non-Jain members for their participation. It is a good idea and we can put into place such a title. We should also recognize the active members of JainList. The criteria for qualifying as an active member can be worked out. For example, it can be the number of posts, both queries and replies, a member has made till now. In addition to the total number of posts it will be necessary to have participated in the discussions in the recent past to qualify. These are some of the ways we can honour and recognize quality on JainList. It will be our anumodna of Gyan and Gyani (knowledge and scholar). I appeal to all JainList members to send their ideas on how it can be done as well as their feedback on the above. Karan - Karavan - Anumodan. Jai Jinendra.
