JainList Meetup JainList Meetup Date: Sunday, 7th May 2006 Time: 2 pm Duration: 2 hours Venue: Hindi Granth Karyalay, 9 Hirabaug, CP Tank, Mumbai - 4. If you are planning to attend - please send a mail confirming your presence to jainlist.meetup@jainnet.com JainList is in its 9th year of existence and has become 1568 members strong. There has been a constant demand from many members for a meetup - where they can meet other JainList members with whom they have been interacting online over the years. Individually many of us have been meeting other members in our home city and in our visits to other cities. The proposed format of the meetup is as follows: 1) Introductions 2) JainList Chat - Clarifications and discussions on current topics in JainList 3) Svadhyaya - Reading / Presenting on a chosen topic and discussions around it The Svadhyaya topic can be an ongoing discussion topic in JainList also. Idea behind choosing a Svadhyaya topic in advance is that the matter can be studied by the reader/presenter and attendees beforehand, with the help of a book or any other credible material and intelligent discussions can be held during the meet. Although, it would be good to read on the chosen Svadhyaya topic before coming to the meet, it is not necessary. The Svadhyaya topic for next month can be decided at the preceding meet itself by the attending members.
